The Legitimate Peaky Blinders Festival announce FRANK CARTER & THE RATTLESNAKES and more

On September 14th and 15th, join some the stars of the world-renowned BBC series, Peaky Blinders, as 1919 comes crashing into 2019 Digbeth. Over 200 actors and musicians will blend with the crowd recreating our favourite scenes and immersive experiences.

For two days only the Streets of Digbeth in Central Birmingham will be transformed into the world of the Shelby family. Surround yourself in the post-industrial architecture, railway arches and canals of Birmingham 1919 as the Peaky Blinders roam the area, poets rant on street corners and musicians busk.

Peaky Blinders alumni Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes join SLAVES to close the main stage on Sunday 15th, alongside Anna Calvi, Primal Scream, Nadine Shah, Hotel Lux and Pearl Harts on the line-up. The music doesn’t stop there, The Carousel stage will bring the 1920s – 1940s inspired music acts from electro-swing to retro hip-hop styles, performing on a vintage carousel surrounded by actors, characters and oddballs and BBC Introducing Stage will be highlighting the excellence in local and national talent.

Expect spoken word and poetry from Peaky Blinders inspired artists such as Birmingham based and official Peaky Blinders poet Casey Bailey and rising star Hussain Manawer.

The festival will close with an immersive and bespoke performance of Peaky Blinders theme ‘Red Right Hand’ by Nick Cave featuring 200 actors, ballet Rambert and a very special pyrotechnic show.
