Goodhood x Joy Division

Goodhood x Joy Division

East London fashion & lifestyle retailer Goodhood is teaming up with Joy Division and legendary art director Peter Saville to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Joy Division’s seminal 1979 album Unknown Pleasures.

While the album’s black sleeve has become one of the most iconic designs in popular music history, the original design was supposed to be white-with- black accents. Goodhood have produced a collaborative capsule collection that spans apparel, homeware, accessories and lifestyle goods, all adopting the same white-with-black motif. They will be teaming up with some of their key brand partners including Universal Works, YMC, Stepney Workers Club, Tom Wood, Big Love Records and more, to produce limited edition items also celebrating Peter Saville’s iconic design.

A limited edition 40th anniversary version of Unknown Pleasures will also be released on June 14th, almost forty years to the day after it was originally released. The LP will be pressed on 180g ruby red vinyl with an alternative white sleeve resembling the original design idea.

It’s a celebration of one of the most important albums of our time as well as a landmark in music/design crossover history.

The collection runs at Goodhood from June 27th to July 11th. The 40th Anni- versary Limited Edition Unknown Pleasures vinyl is available to buy from 14th June and in store at Goodhood.
