American Express presents BST Hyde Park announce Post Malone for 2020
American Express presents BST Hyde Park is bringing an incredible BST first for 2020. The triple platinum superstar Post Malone will headline his show on Thursday 2nd July – with special guests to be announced.
Post Malone gained worldwide acclaim for his distinctive voice and innovative blending of hip-hop, pop and trap. His debut album Stoney catapulted him into the spotlight in 2016 and he spent a whopping 77 weeks in the top 10 of US Billboard charts.
Following the instant success, Malone released ‘Rockstar’ with 21 Savage and ‘Psycho’ with Ty Dolla $ign, two singles that amassed over 2 billion combined streams and went 13-times platinum. ‘Rockstar’ became one of the year’s biggest songs on both sides of the Atlantic. It held the top spot in the Billboard Hot 100 for 8 weeks and No.1 in the UK charts for 4 weeks.
To date, Malone has been nominated for six Grammys, and this year had his first BRIT award nomination for International Male Solo Artist. He has collaborated with some of the biggest names in music – from working with Kayne West on his The Life Of Pablo album to opening for Justin Bieber on his Purpose World Tour – all before he even released his first album!
In 2018, Post Malone released his biggest selling record, Beerbongs & Bentleys. This earned him an American Music Award for Favourite Rap/Hip-Hop album, where he also picked up a prize for Favourite Pop/Rock Male Artist. The album smashed Spotify records for ‘most streams of songs on an album in the US’, racking up nearly 48 million plays in the US on the first day.
Post Malone makes his debut at BST Hyde Park this July, his biggest UK festival show since his headline sets at Reading and Leeds festival in 2019. Get ready for newer hits ‘Goodbyes’ ft Young Thug and ‘Circles’ from his latest album, Hollywood’s Bleeding, the unforgettable Grammy nominated track ‘Sunflower’ and perhaps some unheard material, after Malone hinted that he may have a new record out this year.
With incredible UK chart success and more global hits under his belt than we can count, Post Malone is one of the hottest artists of 2020 and BST Hyde Park is the place to catch him.

Community initiatives do not stop with our midweek programme either, it also includes interns from local colleges working with the team, local schools performing at Open House and much more. And sustainability is at the heart of the festival with a green team advising fans on recycling, fuel from 100% renewable resources, 100% biodegradable food packaging, compostable paper cups across the site.
