MUSIC GATEWAY ANNOUNCES HOST OF NEW FEATURES AND GROUNDBREAKING PARTNERSHIP WITH proTunes

Music Gateway (www.musicgateway.net), the first all in one digital management tool for the music industry, has partnered with global music services giant proTunes. Concurrently, the Music Gateway website enters a new chapter with a host of additional features and digital innovations.

Music Gateway allows members to manage their music projects in one place. Singers, musicians, songwriters, advertising agencies, music supervisors, labels and publishers can collaborate, connect, pitch and license work. Founded by music industry veteran Jon Skinner, the company counts Dave Stewart (The Eurythmics) amongst its investors and board members.

Currently, the music industry is working with tools that were not purpose built and switching between multiple methods. Music Gateway will change that by offering

  • A file storage system built specifically to meet the needs of the music industry, with bespoke tools including metadata management

  • An Audio Library view making it easy to search and find music to pitch

  • An app allowing members to manage their projects on the move

proTunes global sync platforms provide solutions to the music and advertising industries for music discovery, licensing and royalty tracking. The proTunes platform, MusicLink, is exclusive to the Omnicom Group, which accounts for over 22% of the world advertising market. Music Gateway members get automatic access to all proTunes platforms and thus global advertising opportunities.

Jon Skinner, Founder and CEO Music Gateway said, “We are here to grow and nurture the careers of our members through this partnership and the Music Gateway service as a whole. Our new features will make mean our members have more time to be creative and more opportunity to connect with the right people.”

Dave Stewart said “It’s all about opportunity and access to people that can really make a difference to someone’s career. It’s great to be on board and see how Music Gateway helps the industry thrive.”

Bobby O’Reilly, CEO proTunes said, “We are delighted to welcome Music Gateway on-board. Jon and his team have reinvented the wheel and made it better. Their digital management tools provide much needed solutions for creatives in a very competitive marketplace. We look forward to bringing opportunities to Music Gateway members.”
