Biography
Freddie Ljungberg (born 16th April 1977 in Vittsjo, Hassleholm) is a professional footballer, currently playing in the US Major Soccer League. He signed for the new franchise team Seattle Sounders, on October 28th 2008 and was unveiled as their designated player for the 2009 season.The Seattle Sounders FC majority shareholder is Hollywood producer Joe Roth and minority owners are Adrian Hanauer, Paul Allen and comedian Drew Carey.
Freddie started his playing career at Swedish side Halmstad and has previously played in the Premier League for West Ham. He is most famously known for his ten years at Arsenal FC, where he won two Premier League titles, three FA Cups and a Charity Shield. He was also voted Premier League player of the year in 2002.
Freddie is also a male model and until 2007 was the face of Calvin Klein underwear.
