The Charity
Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy is the largest music therapy charity in the UK, providing 35,000 therapy sessions annually with children and adults, as well as running postgraduate training in music therapy and a research programme. The charity brings the healing potential of music as therapy to children and adults who have been isolated by serious medical conditions. At its headquarters in North London children and adults receive music therapy on a weekly basis. They are referred by nurseries, schools, doctors, day centres and residential homes as well as being referred by parents and carers or referring themselves. A team of registered music therapists is employed, full or part-time.
