DAVID BOWIE 'RECORD STORE DAY' EXCLUSIVE RELEASE

To commemorate the tenth anniversary of the annual ‘Record Store Day’ on April 22nd, Parlophone will be releasing two special limited edition David Bowie albums –  ‘Cracked Actor (Live In Los Angeles 1974)’ and the ultra rare Hunky Dory era promo album BowPromo1.

The former is the first official release of this ‘Philly Dogs Tour’ show from September 1974, some of which was featured in the BBC documentary ‘Cracked Actor’. The full live show is documented on a triple vinyl five-sided album. The latter was originally pressed in very small quantities in 1971 and features alternate versions of songs that would later be heard on the ‘Hunky Dory’ album.

Record Store Day, supported by BBC Music, was set up to celebrate and champion independent record shops and now has over 200 stores over the UK celebrating their unique culture, annually.
