DDM COVER

Sean “Diddy” Combs, the rapper, record producer, actor, fashion designer and all-around business impresario, offers his fans a revealing glimpse into his life and inspirations with the release of his MYMAG.

Diddy Dirty Money – available now via MYMAG.com.

Diddy curated the material in Diddy Dirty Money, which is both a glossy print magazine and an interactive online experience offering exclusive video, commentary and more. He mixes original content – including

never-published photographs of him and his bandmates, Kalenna and Dawn – with archived articles from his favorite publications.

Kalenna and Dawn called upon Flaunt magazine to provide an insightful feature on the late fashion designer Alexander McQueen. A Tank Girl Comic, (Dawn) and Marilyn Manson, (Kalenna), feature show how truly leftfield this new Diddy vehicle is.

Diddy’s friends at Vibe, meanwhile, combed through their back pages to give us Diddy’s first-ever magazine feature, as well as tributes to Biggie Smalls, Mary J. Blige and Hype Williams.

Surprises abound: Who knew David Bowie was one of Diddy’s idols? NME magazine explains why.

Meanwhile, Frank Sinatra -whose fedora forever casts a stylish shadow over Diddy’s world – is given his due as well, through a collection of rare Rat Pack photographs.

Esteemed photographer Jean-Paul Goude lends us his celebrated Grace Jones imagery – shots emblematic of a style trend that courses through

Diddy Dirty Money.

This MYMAG gives us insight into a man we thought we knew and two powerful women we want to know.

Diddy Dirty Money is available worldwide via MYMAG.com, plus Barnes & Noble stores in the US and Colette store Paris.

Diddy-Dirty Money recently took London and Paris by storm with a whirlwind stop including a West End album launch party with performances from UK Grime’s finest: Tinchy Stryder, Chipmunk, Skepta and Wretch 32, as well as a high-brow Parisian launch diner with guests including powerhouse producer David Guetta and The French president’s son- Pierre Sarkozy.

The debut album from the new super-group of multiplatinum-selling, three-time Grammy-winning Sean “Diddy” Combs, singer-songwriter Dawn Richard and songwriter Kalenna Harper will be released by Bad Boy/Polydor Records in January 2011, following its December 14th U.S release.

The album’s latest single ‘Coming Home’, will be released on 17th January, followed by the hotly anticipated Usher collaboration track ‘Looking For Love’. In addition, ‘Loving You No More’ featuring Drake has hit the U.S Top 25 at urban radio.

The much praised ‘Hello Good Morning’ Remix released earlier this year featuring underground grime king Skepta, was the first grime track to ever be commissioned by an American artist, with further UK influences apparent on the record.

An electro hip-hop soul funk experience blending elements of UK grime, Mediterranean techno and the 808s of American hip-hop, ‘Last Train To Paris’ represents a sound Combs calls “train music,” new dance music for the new decade. Along with T.I., the album features an array of mega music stars including Lil Wayne, Justin Timberlake, Usher, Drake, Chris Brown, Grace Jones, Trey Songz and Bilal. Among the illustrious roster of producers are Danja, Polow Da Don, Sean Garrett, Tricky Stewart, The Dream, Swizz Beats, Rodney Jerkins, D’Mile and Mario Winans.

Dawn was originally part of platinum selling girl group Danity Kane, which Diddy formed via his 2004-2005 MTV series ‘Making The Band 3’. Danity Kane then became the first female ensemble in history to debut at #1 with their first two albums.

In 2008, Diddy began conceptualising Dirty Money an idea of putting together a cutting edge group consisting of himself and two female members.

Diddy and Dawn teamed up with Kalenna (whose credits include work with music luminaries such as Jill Scott, Jennifer Lopez, Timbaland and producer Rodney Jerkins) to write songs for ‘Last Train To Paris’. Impressed with her lyrical prowess and her unique vocal references, Kalenna was asked to become the third member of Diddy-Dirty Money.

For Diddy, ‘Last Train To Paris’ follows his 2006 solo album ‘Press Play’, which debuted at #1 and went gold. His 1997 debut ‘No Way Out’ was seven times platinum, with 1999’s ‘Forever’ and 2001’s ‘The Saga Continues…’ each platinum.
