Monday 25th October – The Q Awards with Russian Standard Vodka today honoured in spectacular style the biggest stars in the musical firmament.

As is always the case with the Q Awards with Russian Standard Vodka the guest list at London’s Grosvenor Hotel was a who’s who of the music world. Walking up the red carpet this year were such luminaries as Take That, making their first public appearance since Robbie Williams rejoined the group, Florence Welch, Kasabian, Mark Ronson, Plan B, Suede, Bryan Ferry, Paolo Nutini, Neil Finn, Madness and many more.

Once again their host for the occasion was Al Murray, in the guise of his alter ego The Pub Landlord. And handing out the golden Qs at Britain’s biggest music magazine’s 21st awards ceremony were the likes of Wilko Johnson, Charlotte Church, Ray Davies, Nick Rhodes, Duffy, Corrine Bailey Rae, Sandie Shaw, Tinie Tempah, Noel Fielding, Bernard Sumner and KT Tunstall.

Commenting on the awards, Q’s Editor In Chief, Paul Rees said: “Each year the Q Awards celebrates the very best music of the preceding 12 months and also honours those who have done most to shape our musical landscape. We’re thoroughly proud that the event has become such a significant part of the musical calendar – and delighted that this year’s vintage was one of the very best yet.”

In its 21st year The Q Awards still retains its intimacy and its unparalleled status as the music awards ceremony experience. With less than 450 guests attending, the event has rightfully earned its reputation as ‘the world’s highest concentration of musical talent and fame in one room’.

Below is the full listing of this year’s winners, as voted for by Q’s loyal readers, online followers and Q’s resident musical experts.
